Our Mission
At Rod Farrar Foundation Inc, we partner with the recovery community to provide transition assistance to underprivileged clients reintegrating into society.
Our History
Rod Farrar Foundation Inc. was established by friends and family of Rod, after his sudden passing in late 2023. We strive to provide housing and transition assistance to people leaving residential treatment facilities, who have no financial means to secure housing.
Rod Farrar's Vision
We Came to Believe
Rod was a trauma specialist in the addiction services field. He inspired droves of people to enter the industry, as a teacher for the MAAP program. He created an innovative approach using EMDR therapy to treat the trauma that often accompanies substance abuse disorder and was an industry leader, for implementing those treatment modalities.
Rod's approach has helped numerous people struggling with addiction find long lasting recovery and have productive lives. We lost Rod unexpectedly on 11/20/2023. When brainstorming how to carry on his legacy, we decided to create this foundation in his name.
One of the issues that we could never find a long-term solution for was, once patients leave an inpatient facility, where do they go to be encouraged to maintain their sobriety and how do they get there with no financial means?
In order to combat those challenges, we created this foundation to assist those clients, with no other financial means to get into sober living or secondary treatment programs. Every dollar that is collected goes immediately to the cause.
